Births attended by health professionals in Peru 2010-2021

In 2021, approximately 95 percent of women who had given birth in the previous five years in Peru were assisted by skilled health professionals. Most of these births were attended by physicians. During the period depicted, the share of births assisted by specialized health personnel in the South American country has increased by about 11 percentage points.
