Locomotor activity data acquired by infrared individual tracking in a ZebraBox(R) apparatus and ZebraLab software (ViewPoint Life Sciences, Lyon, France) of six days post-fertilization zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryo-larvae exposed to increasing concentrations of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) citalopram. The embryo-larvae locomotor activity was tracked during alternating dark (0% illumination) and light periods (100% illumination). The supplied custom R script was used to aggregate, analyze and plot the data. Anxiolytic effects (i.e. hypoactivity during dark conditions) were detected in zebrafish embryo-larvae exposed to citalopram.
