Distinct Characteristics and Mechanisms of Two Tidewater Glaciers Exhibiting Velocity Anomalies in Western Svalbard

Here, the data used in paper “Distinct Characteristics and Mechanisms of Two Tidewater Glaciers Exhibiting Velocity Anomalies in Western Svalbard” were given. In this database, “GlacierSurfaceVelocity.zip” contains glacier surface velocity data processed through the Alaska Satellite Facility Hybrid Pluggable Processing Pipeline and aggregated into monthly GeoTiff files for Tunabreen glacier and Osbornebreen glacier. “TerminalChange_O_T.xlsx” records terminus advance for both glaciers from 2000 to 2024. “GlacierSurfaceElevationChange.zip” includes glacier surface elevation change derived by differencing the Arctic Digital Elevation Model models. “ClimateData.zip” contains two folders, “ERA5-Land” and “SST”. In the “ERA5-Land” folder, “Tem_1970_2023.xlsx” provides annual air temperature series for both glaciers from 1970 to 2023 and “Pre_1970_2023.xlsx” provides annual precipitation series for the same period. The SST folder holds monthly sea surface temperature series for the fjord regions hosting Tunabreen glacier and Osbornebreen glacier from 2000 to 2023.
