Juvenile common carp were purchased from a fish farm (Henan, China) and grown in 12 laboratory tanks at random. Then, carps were randomly split into 4 groups, including 25 ug/L CPF, 3.5 mg/L GLY, MIX (25 ug/L CPF + 3.5 mg/L GLY), and CTRL groups. The experiments were repeated thrice for each treatment. After 21 d exposure, the carp brains were collected for the transcriptome study. Five carp brains were combined for each sample to create a sufficient mass for total RNA extraction.
