资源简介:
A 24-h in vitro culturing method was used to determine whether fructooligosaccharide (FOS) treatment effects on the human gut microbiome has a differential effect by age, using fecal samples from 18 adults in 3 age groups with 6 individuals for each group, young adult (25–35 years of age), adult (36–50 years of age), and older adult (51–70 years of age). Data collected include: amplicon sequencing of the V1-V2 regions of the 16S rRNA gene (available in the NCBI Sequence Read Archive associated with BioProject PRJNA883714: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/PRJNA883714), total bacterial qPCR, Bifidobacterium genus specific q-PCR, and short chain fatty acid concentrations.
