High-coverage Illumina HiSeq2000 resequencing of 28 Saccharomyces (Lachancea) kluyveri strains. Population genomics od Saccharomyces (Lachancea) kluyveri

Our study represents a comprehensive survey of genomic variations among isolates within a protoploid yeast species which did not undergo whole genome duplication: Saccharomyces (Lachancea) kluyveri. We sequenced at high coverage, with Illumina HiSeq2000 technology, the genome of 28 S. kluyveri strains isolated from various ecological and geographical locations in order to explore the genetic diversity and to compare the patterns of DNA sequence variation within this pre-duplicated species.
