Software, subscription and consumer-electronics facts: a sourced, dated pricing & specs dataset

An independent, methodologically documented facts dataset covering (a) pricing transparency across 133 software, SaaS and consumer-subscription categories (1,000+ vendors, 3,600+ plan records) — CRM, web hosting, observability and developer infrastructure through VPNs, streaming, AI tools and business banking — and (b) verified specifications and US prices for 21 consumer-electronics categories (smartphones, laptops, GPUs, CPUs, TVs, electric cars, cameras, robot vacuums and more; ~280 products). Built for transparency research and reproducibility: every figure is traced to its primary source (the vendor's or manufacturer's own page URL and the date it was captured) and, where possible, corroborated by a second independent source. Quote-only and enterprise tiers, and any unconfirmable spec, are recorded with a null value rather than a guess. Software categories also carry verified product facts beyond price — HIPAA/SOC 2/GDPR compliance, free-tier availability, usage limits, key integrations and differentiating features — each with its own provenance. A documented normalization methodology converts heterogeneous published prices to a common monthly basis while preserving the raw figure. Machine-readable distributions (flat CSV and JSON Lines, a schema.org DataCatalog manifest, and per-category JSON for both pricing and product specs) accompany the data.
