资源简介:
Dataset Description This dataset was generated from a pilot, randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial conducted at Omid Fertility Center (Tehran, Iran) between November 2023 and September 2024. The study investigated the effects of astaxanthin (AST) supplementation on clinical and molecular outcomes in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART). Research hypothesis: We hypothesized that AST supplementation would improve oocyte maturity and embryo quality in women with PCOS, potentially through modulation of the AMPK–autophagy–apoptosis signaling pathway in granulosa cells. What the data shows: The dataset includes de-identified participant-level data on baseline characteristics (e.g., age, BMI, infertility history), controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) parameters, oocyte and embryo outcomes, and pregnancy outcomes. Data were collected prospectively during the trial and recorded in structured case report forms before being entered into Excel for analysis. How the data can be interpreted and used: The dataset provides insights into the potential role of AST as an adjuvant in ART protocols for PCOS. Researchers may use these data to: Reproduce or validate the reported analyses. Conduct secondary analyses. Integrate findings into systematic reviews or meta-analyses. All data are fully de-identified. A data dictionary is provided to explain variable names and coding.
