SANAP 2013/2014 voyage to Antarctica started 28 November 2013 and ended 13 February 2013. Seven scientists participated in the voyage to conduct measurements (4 from Stellenboch University, 2 from Aalto University and and 1 from Finnish Meteorological Institute). The measurements consisted of the ice load measurements on the ship hull and propulsion system and human comfort onboard the ship. In addition, the ice conditions were observed visually and the thickness was measured with a stereo camera system and electromagnetic device. Furthermore, the mechanical properties were measured and the navigational and machine control data was recorded.
