This study systematically elucidates the regulatory mechanism by which dietary Trp optimizes growth performance and muscle development in finishing Rongchang pigs via the gut-liver-muscle axis, and establishes a novel regulatory axis defined as Trp-hepatic BAs synthesis-gut microbiota remodeling-enterohepatic circulation of BAs-muscle development.
