GIS Datasets and Workflow for Assessing Renewable Energy Community Potential in Caorso, Italy

This repository contains the GIS datasets and methodological workflow used to assess the potential of a Renewable Energy Community (REC) in the municipality of Caorso, Italy. The spatial data include building geometries and land-use information derived from the Emilia-Romagna Regional Geoportal (DB Topografico – DBTR). These datasets were used to estimate rooftop photovoltaic potential and to support the construction of synthetic energy production and consumption profiles under limited information conditions. The repository is intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and reuse of the proposed methodology for academic and research purposes.
