Water Treatment and Re-use in Peroxide Production Units

This dataset originates from the WAPEREUSE pilot system, developed to treat industrial wastewater from the peroxide production unit at the Solvay plant in Rosignano Marittimo (Italy). The core treatment technology is a membrane bioreactor (MBR) operating under intermittent aeration. The data includes sensor readings from two experimental phases: · Falconara Marittima (Ancona): December 2023 – June 2024 · Rosignano Marittimo (Solvay site): February 2025 – May 2025 The experimental phase focused on enhancing the biological removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and nitrates, using glycerol as an external carbon source and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) for pH neutralization.
