资源简介:
The article presents Polish adaptation of Intolerant Schema Measure (ISM - Aosved, Long, Voller, 2009) examining generalized prejudice. The research tool consisted of six subscales measuring racism, sexism, homophobia, prejudice against poor, obese persons and followers of different religions. Three versions of the ISM were constructed and validated: containing 48, 36 and 12 items. The empirical basis of the article were two studies carried out on adult secondary school students. Three versions of the ISM turned out to be highly internally consistent. Hypothesized construct validity of the ISM (with reference to its three versions) was confirmed. CFA showed generalized prejudice as a latent variable loading six latent variables corresponding with six assumed particular prejudices or as a general factor in bifactor model. Generalized prejudice was the stronger: (i) the stronger was social identity and the stronger was the predominance of social identity over individual identity, (ii) the stronger was authoritarianism, (iii) the stronger were global and conspiratorial anti- Semitism. Moreover generalized prejudice fully mediated the relationships between authoritarianism and two forms of anti-Semitism. peerReviewed publishedVersion
