Southern Surveyor Voyage SS2012_V04 Pigment and Ocean Colour Data

This record contains data collected on the RV Southern Surveyor, in the Indian ocean between August and September 2012. Samples along the original cruise track were collected off Fremantle, and extra samples were collected between the Dampier Peninsula and Wannanup. The data can be used for Ocean Colour sensor validation. Parameters measured are the concentration of chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments and retrieved chlorophyll a estimate, and the absorption coefficient for particulate (a/p) and detrital or non-algal (a/d) components of the water column. 44 stations were sampled.

本数据集涵盖2012年8月至9月间，在印度洋由“南方勘探者号”（RV Southern Surveyor）科考船采集的科考数据。沿原始巡航航线的样本采集自弗里曼特尔外海，另在丹皮尔半岛与万纳普之间额外采集了补充样本。该数据集可用于海洋水色传感器的性能验证。本次测量的参数包括叶绿素与类胡萝卜素色素浓度、反演得到的叶绿素a估算值，以及水柱中颗粒物（a/p）与碎屑/非藻类（a/d）组分的吸收系数。本次巡航共完成44个采样站位的样本采集。
