NRS-5544 | Cancelled factory registration applications

These comprise applications for registration of a factory which have been cancelled. The application forms show size, dimensions, type of structure, proposed use, number of employees, location, name of the factory, and inspector's report on the factory. The applications were lodged in various years before the date of cancellation, and in some cases as early as 1938. The applications are numerically arranged by the original registration number of the application. 1974-76 (10/14779-96, 19/11811-23), 1977 (12/1565-74), 1978 (12/2943-53), 1979 (12/4013-26), 1981-82 (12/2353-64), (12/12612-28), (12/12698-12712). 110 boxes. Copies of factory registration applications from 1894-1974 for southern Sydney are held at ANU Archives within Deposit N359 – Botany Bay Project files, reports and photographs.Note:This description, as amended, is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
