The Gaia Gravitational Lenses working group (GraL) has dramatically increased the number of known lenses in the past three years particularly doubly-imaged quasars. X-ray observations of these rare systems provide a powerful tool for a range of studies from inferring the structure near the event horizons of supermassive black holes to measuring black hole spins at cosmological distances. We propose a snapshot survey of the brightest newly identified doubles to establish a baseline sample for deeper observations and monitoring. [truncated! Please see actual data for full text]
