Mesocosm: Characterization of cell concentrations and microaggregate abundance, MICROX, to study the microbial oxidation and degradation of oil

A mesocosm scale experiment was conducted to monitor the temporal changes in microbial cell abundance as well as the concentration of microaggregates that form in response to the presence of oil and chemically dispersed oil. Water samples were collected and viewed under the microscope to quantify cell and microaggregate concentrations over time.本研究开展了一项中宇宙（mesocosm）规模实验，以监测微生物细胞丰度，以及由石油与化学分散油（chemically dispersed oil）诱导形成的微团聚体（microaggregates）的浓度随时间的动态变化。实验期间采集水样，借助显微镜进行观测，从而定量测定不同时间节点下的微生物细胞与微团聚体浓度。
