Park Extents

Purpose: This data is primarily used by council and its contractors in managing and maintaining all parks, reserve and open spaces across Auckland region. Lineage: This data was a product of consolidating legacy GIS datasets from the previous regional council and seven city and district councils. Since amalgamation in 2010, the data has been updated by Asset Management teams. The extent of park boundaries were defined from the Core Record System (CRS) Parcel Boundaries supplied by Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).
