This layer was developed by the Community Development Division at the Atlanta Regional Commission to show historic resources in the region. Attributes: Name: A description of the resource name Source: GNAHRGIS (Georgia Natural, Archaeological, and Historic Resource GIS); FindIt (A survey program operated by the University of Georgia with funding provided by the Georgia Transmission Corporation; HPD contract and HPD grant (funding for surveys provided through the State Historic Preservation Office to undertake historic resource surveys); Local (funding for survey provided through local resources); NPS (listed on the National Register of Historic Places through the National Park Service); Section 106 (resource surveyed as a project in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act). Survey Name: Identifies the Survey Report that documents that resource. Address: location of the resource, which may be a physical address or an approximate location based on street intersections or other adjacent street City: incorporated city in which the resource is located; if the City field is blank, the resource is most likely in an unincorporated area Date of Construction: the date or range of dates that most closely approximates the original date of construction of the oldest part of the surveyed resource: may not reflect the dates of subsequent additions or improvements; the date of construction is often a “best guest” and may not be accurate County: the unincorporated county that the resource is located in Notes: relevant information preserved in the record Property type: building, structure, site, district, or object (if identified) Survey year: the year the survey was undertaken (if identified) Resource ID: an identified number associated with a resource, particularly resources entered into the GNAHRGIS database National Registry: Listed (identifies resources listed on the National Register of Historic Places); Proposed Not Eligible (identifies resources that have been identified by the surveyor as non-eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places); Proposed Eligible (identifies resources that have been identified by the surveyor as eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, but have not been designated); if no information is given, no determination of eligibility was identified in the record Style: An identified architectural style of a resource; there is discretion on the part of the surveyor in identifying styles and conflicts may exist.
