Characteristics of changes in the intestinal microbiota of infants within 1 year-old in Beijing.

The establishment of the intestinal microbiota in infants significantly influences their health and development. Breastfeeding, including maternal diet, breast milk composition, and breastfeeding duration, are critical factors in this process. This study involved 67 infants from Peking University People's Hospital. Lactating mothers' dietary patterns were assessed using the Diet Balance Index, and breast milk samples were analyzed for nutritional content. Infant fecal samples were collected at 42 days, 6 months, and 12 months, and analyzed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
