资源简介:
The domestic dog (Canis familiaris) is one of the world’s most morphological diverse animal species. The diversity observed in dogs manifests both in terms of allometry (shape effects due to size) and size-independent traits. The Schoenebeck group and their collaborators leveraged computed tomography scans to quantify morphological differences as phenotype for genome wide association. Here we provide the raw computed tomography scans of dogs used in our genome-wide mapping studies. These data will provide a morphological overview of modern canine skull morphology. Coupled with their genotypes, this dataset will enable QTL mapping to elucidate novel genes and genetic variants that are likely relevant to understanding the genetic basis of human craniofacial anomalies.
