NRS-1003 | Copies of letters to the Town Surveyor

Copies of letters addressed mainly to the Town Surveyor and from 1840 to the District Surveyor. In January 1837 it was directed that the construction and repair of streets in the established parts of the town of Sydney would be transferred from the Surveyor General to the Town Surveyor, the latter being made responsible direct to the Colonial Secretary.
