This dataset contains raw sequencing data from full-length 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing (V1–V9 region) performed on fecal and mesenteric adipose tissue samples collected from individuals with severe obesity. Sequencing was conducted using the PacBio Sequel II platform, enabling high-resolution and long-read data acquisition. A universal primer pair (27F/1492R) was used for amplification. Raw data files are provided in FASTQ format. The data were generated to investigate differences in microbial composition between gut and adipose tissue compartments and their relationship to metabolic phenotypes in obesity. Each sample achieved a minimum sequencing depth of 20,000 reads. Processed data, including Amplicon Sequence Variant (ASV) tables and taxonomic classification outputs, were generated using QIIME2 (v2022.03) with DADA2 and the classify-sklearn algorithm. Taxonomic assignment was based on a curated reference database.
