Micribial communities in coastal regions along China's coastline (Fungi)

This study conducted a large-scale investigation along more than 18,000 km of China's continental coastline, encompassing coastal and estuarine regions. Utilizing environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding sequencing on collected sediment samples, we obtained data on the various microbial communities (bacteria, fungi, and protists). Machine learning approaches were then integrated with this data to assess the ecological quality of the coastal ecosystems in these areas.
