Clinical presentations and laboratory diagnoses of 30 acute Toxoplasma gondii diseases cases.

†A total of 5 tested cases were PCR positive, and among them, 2 cases.were identified with T. gondii-specific DNA both in the peripheral blood and the cerebrospinal fluid.*Of the 4 central nervous system disease cases, 3 were HIV-infected patients and one refused to receive HIV testing.¶Of the 3 ocular disease cases, 1 was an HIV-infected patient, 1 was an HIV–negative patient, and one refused to have an HIV examination.§An HIV-infected patient developed flu-like symptoms.
