THE IMPACT OF AI-ASSISTED PRE-WRITING TOOLS ON IDEA GENERATION AND ARGUMENT QUALITY IN ACADEMIC ESSAYS OF UZBEK EFL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

This study examines how AI-assisted pre-writing tools influence idea generation and argument quality in academic essays written by Uzbek EFL university students. Using a quasi-experimental design, the research compares AI-supported and traditional planning conditions to evaluate their effects on writing development and cognitive engagement.
