This is a prospective cohort study of 85 adults undergoing elective cardiac surgery at the university hospital (Prince of Wales Hospital). This SPSS dataset describes the discriminative performance of rectus femoris muscle ultrasound measurements, including muscle thickness, cross-sectional area and echogenicity on frailty and predictive performance on poor recovery (days alive and at home within 30 days of surgery) after cardiac surgery.
