For supporting the aquatic biodiversity conservation and the fishing ban in Yangtze River Basin, it is essential to monitor and estimate the high resolution spatial-temporal distribution of fishes and related microbiota in the middle reach of Yangtze River. Monitoring fishes and related microbiota using environmental DNA (eDNA) would be an efficient method for getting the high resolution spatial-temporal distribution of fishes in the middle reach of Yangtze River. In this project, we focused on the fishes and related microbiota monitoring using eDNA in the middle reach of Yangtze River during the breeding season, growing season and wintering season of fishes. This project will test the usage of eDNA in monitoring the fishes and related microbiota spatial-temporal distribution in the middle reach of Yangtze River.
为支撑长江流域水生生物多样性保护与禁渔工作,对长江中游鱼类及相关微生物群的高分辨率时空分布进行监测与评估至关重要。利用环境DNA(environmental DNA, eDNA)技术开展鱼类及相关微生物群监测,是获取长江中游鱼类高分辨率时空分布数据的高效手段。本项目针对长江中游鱼类繁殖季、生长季与越冬期,采用环境DNA技术开展鱼类及相关微生物群监测工作。本项目将验证环境DNA技术在长江中游鱼类及相关微生物群时空分布监测中的应用效果。
