Transect walk data collected in English agroforestry and monoculture fields.

Data on bumblebee, solitary bee, hoverfly, and butterfly observations. Data were collected on standardised transect walks between 2011-2013 at six agroforestry sites in England, in paired agroforestry and monoculture fields. All farmers gave approval for data collection at their sites.Columns A-AA give details of sites, dates of visits, position on transect, and environmental variables.Columns AB-BS give abundance counts for bees, butterflies and hoverflies. Bumblebees and butterflies were recorded at the level of individual species, apart from Bombus terrestris and Bombus lucorum which were recorded as one aggregate species, and Pieris rapae & Pieris brassicae which were also recorded as one aggregate species.
