The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Milula spicata

Milula spicata is a monotypic plant genus of Milula Prain in Liliaceae. Here, the complete chloroplast gene sequencing results of M. spicata were reported. The whole genome is 152424 bp, including 17587 bp of the LSC region, 82159 bp of the SSC region and 26339 bp of each IR region. The GC content of M. spicata genome was 36.90%. Its cholroplast genome encodes 125 genes: 79 mRNA genes, 38 tRNA genes and 8 rRNA genes. The phylogenetic relationship indicated that M. spicata and Allium cyathophorum had a strong genetic relationship, which provided basic data for further study on the evolution and phylogeny of M. spicata.
