This volume contains details of agreements made between shire and municipal councils and various electrical companies for the supply of electricity for street and private lighting and for the provision of power in the shire or municipality. Information given about each agreement includes: details of terms of agreement; dates of negotiations; date of agreement being drafted; dates on which the agreement was sent to solicitors, council, Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council; and, date of approval by the Governor. In the front and back of the volume there are lists of franchises approved by the Governor which give the following details: name of council and franchise holder; nature of proposal and terms of agreement; and date of any new agreement.
