Dataset tracking Open data badges awarded at the journal BMC Microbiology, between October 2018-May 2019.

This dataset consists of a spreadsheet of 210 rows, capturing an analysis of data sharing by authors of published articles in the journal BMC Microbiology in 2018-2019.<br>For each published article, a doi and title is provided as well as information on whether an Open Data badge was awarded or not, and how many minutes it took the curation team to make an assessment of the article.<br>The assessment criteria for the Open data badge were as follows:- That the article included a data availability statement.- That at least one part of the dataset had been deposited in a repository.- That a persistent identifier was provided for the dataset.- That, when checked, the data available in repository matched the description provided in the article.
