This series of rate books from the Hay Municipal Council records the subsequent payment of rates by property owners. Each year, each local council was required to set the level of, and collect rates in respect of all rateable properties within the municipal or shire district.These rate books consist of the following information: the name and address of both the owner and occupier, situation, areas or dimensions of land, rates due, and rates paid including any arrears.

本系列税率簿（rate books）由黑伊市政委员会（Hay Municipal Council）编制，记录了物业所有者后续缴纳地方税（rates）的情况。每年，各地方市政委员会均需核定地方税税率，并针对市政或郡级行政区内的所有应课税物业（rateable properties）征收地方税。该批税率簿包含以下信息：所有者与物业占用人的姓名及住址、物业坐落位置、土地面积或尺寸、应缴税额、实缴税额（含所有欠缴税款）。
