Vertical Profile of Snow Cam Images and CTD profile collected aboard R/V Endeavor cruise EN586 in the Orca Basin, Gulf of Mexico on 2016-08-11

This dataset contains a vertical profile of images of marine snow collected in the Orca Basin (Gulf of Mexico, 27˚00.287’ N, 91˚17.560' W) during the R/V Endeavor EN586 on 2016-08-11. A CTD profile accompanies the imagery. The profile gives a complete depth distribution of marine snow from the sea surface, through the pycnocline, to within 10 m of the seafloor. Images were collected by a Nikon D7000 digital camera every seven seconds.

本数据集包含墨西哥湾奥卡盆地（Orca Basin，北纬27°00.287′，西经91°17.560′）内采集的海洋雪（marine snow）垂直剖面影像，采集工作于2016年8月11日通过“奋进号”（R/V Endeavor）科考船EN586航次完成。本数据集配套有温盐深仪（Conductivity-Temperature-Depth, CTD）剖面数据，完整呈现了从海面、穿过密度跃层（pycnocline）直至距海底10米范围内的海洋雪深度分布特征。所有影像均由尼康D7000数码相机以每7秒一张的频率采集获取。
