METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING MEDICAL-TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE CLASSES BASED ON CLINICAL SITUATIONS

This study explores the methodology of developing medical-technical knowledge in English language classes through clinical situation-based instruction. Grounded in the principles of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and communicative language teaching (CLT), the research emphasizes the use of simulated clinical scenarios to enhance students’ professional language competence. The methodology incorporates role-plays, problem-based learning, and interactive tasks that reflect real-life medical contexts such as patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Additionally, multimedia tools and digital technologies are integrated to provide authentic input and foster critical thinking skills. The findings indicate that clinical situation-based learning significantly improves students’ acquisition of medical terminology, communicative competence, and readiness for professional interaction in healthcare settings. This approach contributes to bridging the gap between theoretical language instruction and practical medical application, ensuring more effective outcomes in medical English education
