Evaluating Toll Plazas and Visibility Conditions Using Driving Simulation

Project Description This dataset supported an effort to optimize toll plaza configuration considering various visibility or weather conditions by providing crash and near-crash event data to compare with a series of driving simulator experiments. Data Request Scope Event table parameters by weather condition for 3,428 events were delivered. Reaction times for drivers in these crash and near-crash events were compared with those from University of Central Florida driving simulator experiments.
