Following studies on French sheep diversity, performed with 600K SNP chips (Rochus et al., 2018), and search for homozygous haplotype deficiency (Ben Break et al. 2021), 29 animals were selected in various herds to represent Lacaune (dairy and meat) sheep breed diversity. A trio is included. DNA was extracted from blood and submitted to whole genome sequencing at a 10-12X depth on an Illumina Novaseq machine. A trio is included (ram=LAM0002, ewe=LAM0001, offspring=LAM003). LAM stands for Lacaune meat breed and LAC (or LACmilk) for Lacaune Dairy breed.
