A log sawing machine capable of automatically opening and closing， comprising a frame， a conveying mechanism for conveying a log (99)， a cutting mechanism for cutting the log (99)， and an identifying mechanism for identifying the diameter of the log (99). The frame comprises a base (1) and a fixing frame (2) fixedly connected at the top of the base (1); the cutting mechanism comprises two cutting machine bodies (4) provided on two sides of the fixing frame (2) and provided oppositely; an upper end of the base (1) is horizontally provided with a transverse sliding rail (41); the two cutting machine bodies (4) are slidably connected to two sides above the base (1) by means of the transverse sliding rail (41); the cutting machine body (4) comprises a saw blade set (45) and an asynchronous motor (46) for driving the saw blade set (45) to rotate; the saw blade set (45) consists of several saw blades vertically provided and parallel to each other; and two saw blade sets (45) are respectively driven by a drive mechanism to move in horizontal and vertical directions.
