Images and Text from an Evaluation of The Walled Garden, Elveden, Suffolk, March 2020

This collection consists of images and text from an evaluation by Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd, of The Walled Garden, Elveden, Suffolk, in March 2020. Despite the archaeological potential of the site, the evaluation encountered no archaeological features, other than a probable planting pit associated with the former use of the Walled Garden. It demonstrated that the site had undergone significant transformation over the last century or so, since the construction of the Walled Garden and the development and landscaping of the surrounding area for Estate use.
