To identify a common differentially expressed gene signature between metastatic tumors and primary tumors, we utilized both p48-Cre/p53F/+KrasL/+ and SIRT6/p48-Cre/p53F/+KrasL/+ as well as orthotopically injected 4T1 Balb/c mice to generate spontaneous metastases We then isolated RNA from bulk tissue primary tumors and metastases in mice with evidence of metastatic disease. Gene expression profiling on primary tumors and metastases was then performed using RNA-Seq. Overall design: RNA was isolated from bulk tumor tissue generated from primary tumors and matched liver and lung metastases from mouse models described above. Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for primary tumors and metastatic tumors.
