From a plane, this survey measures how electrical currents flow through different types of rocks and soils. This allows us to map different types of rocks and soils. The findings tell us about the rocks in the ground. This is useful if you want to drill for water or to help find minerals (materials taken from the ground used for things we need from mobile phones to the stones used to build roads and houses). The data can also be used by farmers to tell them about the soil.
