Rare earth elements in bottom sediments and Fe-Mn nodules of the Black Sea

Distributions of rare earth element contents in surface layer bottom sediments, in vertical sediment section, and in Fe-Mn nodules of the Black Sea have been studied. An inverse relationship of rare earth element contents and CaCO3 contents has been found in the studied sediments. Fe-Mn nodules of the Black Sea do not concentrate rare earth elements, and their rare earth element composition differs from one of host sediments. It is concluded that rare earth elements are bound with clay minerals of bottom sediments.本研究对黑海表层底部沉积物、垂向沉积剖面以及铁锰结核中的稀土元素（Rare Earth Element）含量分布情况展开了系统研究。在所研究的沉积物中，发现稀土元素含量与碳酸钙（CaCO₃）含量呈负相关关系。黑海铁锰结核并未富集稀土元素，且其稀土元素组成与赋存沉积物的稀土元素组成存在差异。综上可得出结论：稀土元素与底沉积物中的黏土矿物相结合。
