The study was conducted in five districts of Rwanda. Data were collected through focus group discussion and in-depth-interviews. In-depth interviews were conducted with key stakeholders (nurses and CHWs) while focus group discussions (FGD) were done with mothers and fathers of children under the age of five. Forty (40) in-depth interviews (IDI) were conducted. In each district, 4 community health workers drawn from different sectors within the district and 4 nurses from different healthcare facilities participated in the IDI. A total of ten (10) FGDs were held – one for mothers and one for fathers in each of the five districts. Study participants included in the FGD were purposely selected with the help of community health workers.
