Wind speed is measured at 0.1 Hz using a Gill 2D-type Windsonic anemometer (Campbell® Scientific Instruments). The anemometer is located at 2.5 m height from the flat roof of the highest building of the campus of the Institut des Régions Arides (IRA) de Medenine (i.e., about 15 m above the ground level). The average and maximum wind speed in meter per second (m/s) are recorded at a 5 min time-step using a CR200X datalogger (Campbell® Scientific Instruments). Average wind speed is distributed at a 1 hour time-step in UTC. The value reported for 01:00UTC represents the average over the past hour, and so on (the number of values used to compute the average is given for each time step).
