This dataset consists of 3 shapefiles based on the COROP (i.e. NUTS3) zonation. Three non-overlapping zones for the Netherlands have been defined: Randstad, Intermediate Zone and Peripheral Zone. The definition of the zones follows from a publication by Wagtendonk, Rietveld (2000) about spatial developments in the housing sector between 1980 and 1995.
