Fecal samples from the 21 mammals of the Shubenacadie wildlife park were collected, DNA was extracted and 16S sequencing was done on the entire sample to identify the microbial composition of each animals microbiome. This was done in the hopes of finding cellulose degrading organisms and comparing the microbiomes of different animals.
