Survey about Primary and Lower Secondary Teacher Education Programmes - Teachers at Higher Education Institutions

The Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT) has conducted an evaluation of primary school teacher education programs for grades 1–7 and 5–10 (GLU 1–7 and GLU 5–10). This survey among teachers at higher education institutions teaching at primary and lower secondary teacher education programmes was conducted in March - April 2023.

The survey is based on the evaluation's four main themes:
• Master's theses
• Academic environments
• Integrated, research-based, and profession-oriented education
• The structure and design of primary school teacher education programs

The survey aims to provide NOKUT, the sector, and other stakeholders with information on important aspects of the quality of primary school teacher education programs. Furthermore, the evaluation offers institutions and authorities a knowledge base that can be used to assess if and how the quality development in GLU can best be followed up.
