Title: From banners to microhabitats: how illuminated advertisements are utilised by house geckos (Hemidactylus frenatus) For Numbers: Gecko counts dataset and R scripts (zero-truncated Poisson GLM) For Presence: Gecko presence/absence dataset and R scripts (binomial GLM) Description This repository contains the dataset and R scripts used in the analysis of gecko abundance (counts) / presence–absence. The counts dataset (GeckosN.xlsx) includes numbers of geckos per banner together with covariates (Sunset, Temperature, Sound, Illuminance, Surface, Height, Anchor, City). Analysis was performed using a zero-truncated Poisson GLM, with incidence rate ratios (IRR), diagnostics, and prediction plots provided. The presence/absence dataset (GeckosP.xlsx) contains binary presence–absence data with the same covariates. Analysis was performed using a binomial GLM with logit link, including odds ratios (OR), diagnostics, and predictions. Both repositories contain: R scripts reproducing the statistical analyses, a README file with software requirements and instructions, placeholder Excel data files (to be replaced by the original datasets before upload).
