NRS-4139 | Secretary's correspondence files [Egg Marketing Board, later Egg Corporation]

This series contains minutes of committees and sub-committees of the Board, legal advice, statements to the press and producers, and files relating to the advertising and promotion of eggs and egg products, export and improvement of egg products, research and experimentation, animal welfare, elections of producers to the Board and the inspection of farms and produce. The files also contain General Managers' reports to the Board and correspondence with the Egg Producers Council, the Australian Egg Board, the Council of Egg Marketing Authorities of Australia and government departments and interstate boards. The Secretary's files are numbered with a running number. The numbering system was reorganised repeatedly and, as a result, different subjects can bear the same file number and some subjects have been allocated more than one number. Some subjects are arranged alphabetically in the "continuous reference files", numbered 41A to 41H. (6/11878-900, 6/10455-583). 152 boxes.
