Coastal monitoring network design data for 38 Chinese bays using Sentinel-3 OLCI

This dataset supports the study “Designing coastal monitoring networks for multiple objectives: Evidence from 38 Chinese bays using Sentinel-3 OLCI”. It contains the public-safe derived data used to evaluate objective-specific coastal monitoring-network designs across 38 Chinese bays during 2017–2023. The dataset includes the bay registry, development-selected station counts and layouts, selected virtual-station grid identifiers, temporal-evaluation metrics, layout-family agreement, fixed versus previous-month lagged-targeted comparisons, hotspot-reconstruction results, illustrative service scenarios, and product, threshold, reconstruction-method and temporal-support sensitivity analyses. CHL_NN and TSM_NN were used as the primary Sentinel-3 OLCI benchmark products, with CHL_OC4ME used for secondary product sensitivity. Detailed bay-boundary vectors are not included because they are subject to data-use restrictions.本数据集支撑研究《面向多目标的海岸监测网络设计：基于哨兵-3号海洋与陆地颜色仪器（Sentinel-3 OLCI）的中国38个海湾实证分析》。本数据集包含2017年至2023年间，用于评估中国38个海湾分目标海岸监测网络设计方案的可公开获取衍生数据。数据集涵盖海湾注册表、研发筛选的监测站数量与布局方案、选定的虚拟站（virtual-station）网格标识符、时间评估指标、布局族一致性分析、固定方案与上月滞后目标对比分析、热点区重构结果、示例服务场景，以及产品、阈值、重构方法和时间支撑维度的敏感性分析。CHL_NN与TSM_NN被用作Sentinel-3 OLCI的核心基准产品，CHL_OC4ME则用于次级产品敏感性分析。由于受数据使用限制条款约束，详细的海湾边界矢量数据未纳入本数据集。
